I propose to take Questions Nos. 913 and 969 together.

The Remembrance Commission administers the scheme of acknowledgement, remembrance and assistance for victims in this jurisdiction of the conflict in Northern Ireland. The person to whom the Deputy refers has applied for assistance from the scheme. I have made inquiries with the commission, and have been informed that all validly submitted claims for the reimbursement of medical expenses have been dealt with and payment made in respect of them.

In regard to the issue of counselling expenses, I understand that the commission is supportive of the application. However, the commission has requested further information from the person in question which is required in order to enable a decision to be made on the matter. The commission has responded to the person in respect of complaints made by him.
