Question 687: To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if a work permit will be given to enable a person (details supplied) in County Kildare to move from their present employer to another who has a job available and with whom this person wishes to take up employment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Where a non-EEA national is legally employed and legally resident in the State, my Department is prepared to consider applications from prospective new employers in respect of that employer. My Department has no record of a valid application in respect of person about whom the Deputy inquires.
