I have recently appointed one additional assistant principal officer and one additional clerical officer to the staff of the petroleum affairs division, PAD. One other assistant principal was transferred to PAD for a number of weeks and while he has resumed his previous work, he is available to PAD.

The review of legislation and regulation governing petroleum exploration and development has been under consideration for some time now.
