I have received the reports of the postgraduate medical education and training group — the Buttimer group — and the working group on undergraduate medical education and training — the Fottrell group. Each report contains a detailed plan of action for the implementation of its recommendations. Both reports are under consideration in the Departments of Health and Children and Education and Science. It is intended to bring them to the Government jointly in due course, with a view to their publication.
