Question 149: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the number of orthodontists now fully trained and practising in the sponsored training scheme; the length of time they are tied to working in the public service; the locations at which they are working and the progress which has been made on waiting lists; the cost of installation of new clinics; the reason it is not working efficiently; the action being taken to sort out industrial relations and-or personality issues; when treatment will be provided to persons (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, my Department has requested the parliamentary affairs division of the executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
