Question 769: To ask the Minister for Defence the number of persons in receipt of the old IRA veterans pension; the number of persons in receipt of the old IRA widows pension; the maximum amount payable in respect of each pension; and the average payment for each pension; and if he will make a statement on the matter. These payments were increased by 50% from 1 July 2004, having been previously increased by 50% from 1 January 2000.
