Question 186: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the progress made with regard to the announcement on 24 February 2005 to swap State-owned lands for private sites on which housing development has already been completed to help fast track the provision of the 10,000 affordable houses promised under Sustaining Progress; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I refer to the reply to Question No. 77 of 13 April 2005. While the contract negotiations with the preferred bidder for the Harcourt Terrace site have been advanced by Dublin City Council, they have not yet been completed. It is hoped they will be brought to a successful conclusion soon.
