Question 427: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the position regarding an application for a person (details supplied) to serve the remainder of their sentence in a prison here; and if this person will be facilitated at the next available opportunity. [14285/05]

My Department recently received the High Court warrant which allows for the transfer of this individual into this country and the continued enforcement of his prison sentence under the transfer of sentenced persons legislation. I have been assured this transfer will be effected as soon as is practically possible.
