My Department does not transport recyclable waste out of the country, nor does it fund such transport whether by local authorities or otherwise. Local authorities are responsible for providing recovery and recycling facilities consistent with the relevant waste management plan. Some of these facilities may be eligible to receive funding from my Department's capital grants scheme.
