I expect to announce a further tranche of grants under the waste management capital grants scheme in the coming weeks. Over €50 million has been allocated to some 90 projects so far, of which over €5 million has been allocated to projects in County Waterford. In providing further grant assistance I will consider how far advanced the proposed projects are, our NDP commitments and the need for regional balance. In addition to the capital grants scheme, my Department subsidises the operating costs of civic amenity and bring centres and will continue to make such funding available.
