Question 740: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if a dedicated missing persons bureau has been in existence; if he has assessed the urgent need to re-establish this bureau; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10848/05]

I have been informed by the Garda authorities that the missing persons bureau in Garda Headquarters is responsible for collating data relating to missing persons. The bureau continues to function.
