Question 238: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of cases on any aspect of immigration that are before the courts at present; the category into which each case falls; the average length of time that each case is before the courts; if immigration related cases are creating a problem for the operation of any court; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As I stated in reply to Question No. 351 from Deputy Costello on 8 March 2005, it has not been possible in the time available to compile the information requested by the Deputy. The information sought is currently being compiled and I will forward it to the Deputy as soon as it is available.
