Question 321: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if a person (details supplied) in County Kildare will be given permission to remain in the State on the basis that he or she is part of a family unit in which the adults have been granted residency; and if the Minister will make a statement on the matter. The person in question made an application for permission to remain in the State on the basis of being part of a family unit where the parents of that unit have been granted residency. The application was received in October 2004. Applications of this type are dealt with in chronological order and those received in July 2004 are currently being processed.
