Question 303: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he has satisfied himself that the allegations made by a person (details supplied) in Dublin 7 regarding a member of the Garda Síochána which have been widely reported in the media, have been fully and properly investigated; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have been informed by the Garda authorities that an investigation file in this case has been forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions. As the Deputy will appreciate, I have no official responsibility to the Dáil in this matter which is one for the Director of Public Prosecutions who is independent in his function.
