Question 106: To ask the Minister for Transport the steps he intends to take to ensure that vehicles which fail the national car test are obliged to undergo the test again within a reasonable time period if they continue to be used on public roads. [5467/05]

It is an offence to use in a public place a vehicle which is liable for a roadworthiness test unless a valid test certificate is in force in respect of the vehicle.
