Question 216: To ask the Minister for Foreign Affairs if his attention has been drawn to a Garda investigation into complaints that luxury cars used to transport VIPs during Ireland's Presidency of the European Union may not have been licensed as commercial vehicles; if this investigation is now complete; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A complaint was received by the carriage office of the Garda Síochána concerning the use of certain vehicles during the course of the Irish Presidency. I understand that the investigation is ongoing and it would be inappropriate for me to comment on the matter until the investigation has been completed, and the complainant notified of the outcome.
