I have been informed by the Garda authorities that the Garda college has a current developed capacity to induct a maximum of four intakes of approximately 160 new trainees per annum which provides for an output of 640 newly attested members per annum at the end of phase 3 training.

This output is based on the principle that the required levels of continuing professional development courses, specialist training, supervisory-management courses, international courses etc., are also delivered at the college.
