I have been informed by the Garda authorities that six burglaries have been reported to An Garda Síochána, in the area concerned, since 1 January 2004. To date, no persons have been charged in connection with the crimes. I have been further informed that local uniform and plain clothes units patrol the area on a regular basis and a community garda is assigned to the area. The divisional crime task force and divisional traffic unit assist the local units in patrolling the area on the directions of the divisional officer. Finally, I am informed that every effort is being made by local Garda management to deal with this matter.
