Question 214: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if, in view of commitments of the Dublin Declaration, the Government intends to implement into national legislation the WTO decision of 30 August 2003 on the implementation of paragraph 6 of the Doha Declaration on the TRIPS Agreement and Public Health; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I am giving consideration to the implementation of the WTO decision of 30 August 2003 in the context of the need to update Irish intellectual property legislation to reflect continuing developments in this important area.
