I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:
Senator Eileen Flynn - The need for the Minister for Social Protection to address the barriers to the introduction of the additional monthly international protection child payment.
Senator Malcolm Byrne - The need for the Minister for Transport to provide an update on the development of the Dublin to Rosslare rail line.
Senator Róisín Garvey - The need for the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media to outline the steps her Department is taking to increase tourism in the Cliffs of Moher and west Clare areas to support a greater spread of the socio-economic benefits of tourism.
Senator Sharon Keogan - The need for the Minister for Social Protection to provide an update on the commencement of sections 6 to 9 of the Civil Registration (Amendment) Act 2014.
Senator Mary Seery Kearney - The need for the Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works to make a statement on the feasibility of the lands surrounding Farmleigh House in the Phoenix Park being used as a horse sanctuary for rescue horses.
Senator Marie Sherlock - The need for the Minister for Education to set out the timeline for completion of the school building project for Clonturk Community College as part of the educational campus project at Swords Road, to also include classrooms for Gaelscoil Áine and Ellenfield Community College.
Senator Micheál Carrigy - The need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to make a statement on the proposed advance IDA factory for Longford.
Senator Emer Currie - The need for the Minister for Education to provide an update on secondary school provision for the Hansfield community in Dublin 15.
Senator Lynn Ruane - The need for the Minister for Justice to make a statement on progress on implementation of the recommendations of the report of the Prison Overcrowding Response Group.
The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion. I have selected Senators Flynn, Byrne and Garvey and they will be taken now. Senator Ruane has withdrawn the Commencement matter which was originally selected. My apologies to all of the other Senators whom I did not pick as we did have four Commencement matters selected. All of the other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise. I welcome the Minister of State, Deputy O'Brien, to the House and call on Senator Flynn to speak now, please, agus tá ceithre nóiméad aici.
