I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:
Senator Aisling Dolan - The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on capital expenditure at Portiuncula University Hospital for the construction of nine additional emergency department treatment bays, and plans for former multi-bed wards.
Senator Malcolm Byrne - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to provide an update on plans to upgrade wastewater treatment systems in rural Ireland, in particular in Ferns and Camolin, County Wexford.
Senator Mark Wall - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on the commencement of works on the ten units at McAuley Court, Athy, County Kildare.
Senator Marie Sherlock - The need for the Minister for Education to make a statement on the delays in the construction of the new school building for Gaelschoil Choláiste Mhuire, Dominick Street, Dublin 1, and the timelines for expected completion of the project.
Senator Tim Lombard - The need for the Minister for Education to provide an update on the timelines for the school building works at St. Brogan's College, Bandon, County Cork.
Senator Martin Conway - The need for the Minister for Health to provide an update on plans for a national haemochromatosis strategy to increase awareness, diagnosis and equitable access to testing and treatment.
The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion. I have selected those raised by Senators Aisling Dolan, Malcolm Byrne, Mark Wall and Marie Sherlock and they will be taken now. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
