I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:

Senator Fiona O'Loughlin - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on plans to designate the Curragh Plains as a national heritage area.

Senator Barry Ward - An gá atá ann go ndéanfaidh an tAire Oideachais, an Teachta Norma Foley, ráiteas maidir le Gaelcholáiste a sholáthar i gCoill na Silíní.

Senator Micheál Carrigy - The need for the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media to establish a funding scheme to support local and national media.

Senator Lynn Ruane - The need for the Minister for Justice to provide an update on progress in the development of legislative measures concerning the sale of alcohol, including the proposed sale of alcohol Bill and intoxicating liquor Bill.

Senator Malcolm Byrne - The need for the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications to outline Government policy on the need for the construction of data centres and his view on current capacity issues.

Senator Robbie Gallagher - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to review the allocations on the help-to-buy scheme, first home scheme and vacant property refurbishment grant due to ongoing increases in cost of construction and building materials.

Senator Tim Lombard - The need for the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media to make a statement on the development of a national swimming strategy.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion and I have selected Senators Fiona O'Loughlin, Barry Ward, Micheál Carrigy and Lynn Ruane and they will be taken now. All other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters that they wish to raise.
