I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:

Senator Marie Sherlock - The need for the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to make a statement on the national childcare scheme, with reference to its admissions policy, termination of a child’s place policy and the role of his Department in investigating possible breaches of the scheme.

Senator Mary Seery Kearney - The need for the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to make a statement on the allocation of funding under the children's disability service grant fund in circumstances where a service has been refused grant funding, despite receiving similar funding in the past.

Senator Victor Boyhan - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to establish a statutory independent appeals mechanism in respect of social housing decisions.

Senator Mark Wall - The need for the Minister for Health to provide an update on the provision of a new hospital at St. Vincent's Hospital, Athy, County Kildare.

Senator Malcolm Byrne - The need for the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications to outline Government policy on the need for the construction of data centres and his view on current capacity issues.

Senator Fiona O'Loughlin - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on his Department's long-term plans to ensure good access and maintenance of cemeteries.

Senator Robbie Gallagher - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to review the allocations on the help-to-buy scheme, first home scheme and vacant property refurbishment grant due to ongoing increases in cost of construction and building materials.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion and I have selected Senators Marie Sherlock, Mary Seery Kearney, Victor Boyhan and Mark Wall and they will be taken now. I regret that I had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Fiona O’Loughlin on the grounds that the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters that they wish to raise.
