I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:

Senator Garret Ahearn - The need for the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to make a statement on the use of Hearns Hotel, Clonmel, County Tipperary as a facility for international protection applicants.

Senator Seán Kyne - The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine to make a statement on agreement on a single point of inspection for oyster fishermen to avoid duplication between the Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority and Inland Fisheries Ireland.

Senator Tim Lombard - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on plans to begin the process of having a directly elected mayor for Cork city and county.

Senator Malcolm Byrne - The need for the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs to make a statement on the ongoing protests in Georgia and to reiterate Ireland's support for Georgia becoming a member of the EU.

Senator Barry Ward - The need for the Minister for Transport to ensure that no new non-electric buses are purchased for use in public transport.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion and I have selected Senators Garret Ahearn, Seán Kyne, Tim Lombard and Malcolm Byrne and they will be taken now. Senator Barry Ward may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
