I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:

Senator Garret Ahearn - The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on remaining restrictions in certain hospitals on partners attending antenatal and scan appointments and post-birth visits.

Senator Maria Byrne - The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on plans to increase the supply of home carers to meet care hours demands.

Senator Tim Lombard - The need for the Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works to provide an update on conservation works and future plans for Desmond Castle, Kinsale, County Cork.

Senator Malcolm Byrne - The need for the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science to make a statement on the current condition of research infrastructure and equipment in Irish universities; and his plans for future investment in this area.

Senator Martin Conway - The need for the Minister for Health to provide additional physiotherapists in each of the community healthcare organisation, CHO, areas to ensure MS Ireland can provide the necessary supports to service users with multiple sclerosis or Parkinson's disease.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion. I have selected those raised by Senators Ahearn, Maria Byrne, Lombard and Malcolm Byrne, and they will be taken now. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
