Dia daoibh, a chairde. I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:

Senator Maria Byrne - The need for the Minister for Finance to make a statement on the extension of the 9% tourism VAT rate.

Senator Aisling Dolan - The need for the Minister for Transport to provide an update on the roll-out of the Connecting Ireland rural mobility plan.

Senator Aidan Davitt - The need for the Minister of State with responsibility for local government and planning to update the allowable expenses categories for the local representation allowance to include home security systems.

Senator Victor Boyhan - The need for Minister of State with responsibility for local government and planning to make a statement on the urban regeneration and development fund and proposals to ask local authorities to buy vacant and derelict properties in town centres.

Senator Mary Seery Kearney - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on the Government's view and intentions for Iveagh Markets in Dublin 8.

Senator Lynn Boylan - The need for the Minister of Enterprise, Trade, and Employment to make a statement on the reallocation of network costs back to large energy users from domestic accounts.

Senator Joe O'Reilly - The need for the Minister for Defence to make a statement on the current status of the 15 Army Reserve centres, excluding military barracks or military camps, to outline staffing, training nights held and the centres in use.

Senator Marie Sherlock - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on plans to abolish build-to-rent planning regulations.

Senator John McGahon - The need for the Minister for Education to make a statement on the upgrading of the science laboratories in De La Salle College, Dundalk, County Louth.

Senator Tim Lombard - The need for the Minister for Education to increase both the access to and the number of school National Educational Psychological Service assessments.

Senator Robbie Gallagher - The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the introduction of measures to improve response times relating to the National Ambulance Service.

Senator Barry Ward - The need for the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to increase provision for anti-racism measures.

Of the matters raised by the Senators suitable for discussion, I have selected Senators Maria Byrne, Dolan, Davitt and Boyhan and they will be taken now. I regret that I had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Seery Kearney on the ground that the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters that they wish to raise.
