I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:

Senator Victor Boyhan - the need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on the ongoing engagement between the European Commission and his Department regarding trihalomethane levels in public and private water supplies.

Senator Tim Lombard - the need for the Minister for Education to provide an update on the new extension for Ballinspittle National School and to outline the timelines for each stage of the project.

Senator Lynn Boylan - the need for the Minister for Rural and Community Development to review whether, under the Control of Dogs Act 1986, as amended, local authority dog pounds have sufficient capacity to deal with the number of stray dogs being surrendered.

Senator Lynn Ruane - the need for the Minister for Social Protection to provide an update on the findings of the child maintenance review group, including the timeline for the publication of the report stemming from the review.

Senator Seán Kyne - the need for the Minister for Social Protection to provide an update on the review of the school meals programme, including the rates paid to school meal providers.

Senator Garret Ahearn - the need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the recruitment of a consultant psychiatrist for children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities in Tipperary.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion. I have selected Senators Boyhan, Lombard, Boylan, Ruane, Kyne and Ahearn and they will be taken now.
