Before we start, I wish to welcome my uncle Austin to the Distinguished Visitors Gallery. He worked for The Kerrymanmany years ago, before moving to South Africa. He has a great love of sailing. If anyone has any interest in sailing, he is the man to talk to.

I have received notice from Senator Fiona O'Loughlin that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on plans to address the shortage of dentists for medical card patients in south Kildare.

I have also received notice from Senator Micheál Carrigy of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to make a statement on the need for additional home school community liaison co-ordinators for schools in County Longford.

I have also received notice from Senator Sharon Keogan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to make a statement on the provision of an additional secondary school in the Duleek area of County Meath, given the population increase shown in recent Central Statistics Office, CSO, figures.

I have also received notice from Senator Emer Currie of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to make a statement on the decision not to award DEIS status to St. Luke's National School, Tyrrelstown, Dublin 15.

I have also received notice from Senator Ollie Crowe of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to make a statement on the number and percentage of pubs and bars in each of the excise liquor licence bands in 2021, and how this compares with previous years' figures.

I have also received notice from Senator Niall Ó Donnghaile of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs to clarify whether passport applications received from people in the North of Ireland are treated as "non-domestic" applications, and if so, how this affects the timescale for the processing of these applications.

I have also received notice from Senator Gerard Craughwell of the following matter:

The need for the Minister Housing, Local Government and Heritage to provide an update on the decommissioning of the Derrybrien wind farm in County Galway, including funding for the decommissioning.

I have also received notice from Senator Maria Byrne of the following matter:

The need for the Tánaiste and Minister of Enterprise, Trade, and Employment to make a statement on the plans in place to encourage businesses to become more climate-friendly and sustainable.

I have also received notice from Senator Tim Lombard of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on the waiver of foreshore consent fees for businesses impacted by Covid-19.

Of the matters raised by Senators suitable for discussion, I have selected the matters of Senators O’Loughlin, Carrigy, Keogan, Currie, Crowe and Ó Donnghaile and they will be taken now. I regret that I had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Craughwell on the ground that the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters that they wish to raise.
