Before taking Commencement matters I welcome into the Distinguished Visitors' Gallery some very special guests all the way from Scoil Phádraic Cailíní National School in Donabate, Ms McEvoy, Ms Kelly and Ms Skipton. The principal, Ms Greene, cannot be here today unfortunately but we are delighted that Senator Lorraine Clifford-Lee brought the class in today. I welcome all the girls. The Senator's daughter, Kitty, is here. Will she please stand and say, "Hello"? Some day she might be joining her mother as a Member in Seanad Éireann. All the cailíní from Donabate are most welcome. I thank them for coming here today.

I have received notice from Senator Malcolm Byrne that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to provide an update on the provision of therapeutic services as outlined in the programme for Government.

I have also received notice from Senator Seán Kyne on the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the delivery of a new cancer centre at University Hospital Galway under Project Ireland 2040.

I have also received notice from Senators Micheál Carrigy and Diarmuid Wilson of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the plans for the regulation of vape shops and the sale of vaping products.

I have also received notice from Senator Maria Byrne of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the HIQA report of the unannounced inspections of the emergency department at University Hospital Limerick.

I have also received notice from Senator Lisa Chambers of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications to provide an update on the Government’s offshore wind policy and strategy with a particular focus on the potential off the west coast of Ireland.

I have also received notice from Senator Mary Fitzpatrick of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on the redevelopment of the fruit and vegetable market at Smithfield in Dublin.

I have also received notice from Senator Mark Wall of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to allocate public service obligation funding to extend the short hop zone fare structure to Newbridge railway station in County Kildare.

I have also received notice from Senator Barry Ward of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to make a statement on the timeline for the allocation of a permanent site, including any interim site, for Gaelscoil Laighean, Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin.

Of the matters raised by the Senators suitable for discussion, I have selected Senators Malcolm Byrne, Seán Kyne, Micheàl Carrigy and Diarmuid Wilson, who will share time, Maria Byrne, Lisa Chambers and Mary Fitzpatrick, and they will be taken now. I regret that I had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Mark Wall, as the Minister has no official responsibility on the matter.
