The Cathaoirleach has received notice from Senator Joe O’Reilly that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine to make a statement on the current income crisis in the pig industry.

I have also received notice from Senator Fiona O’Loughlin of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Defence to make a statement on the future of Cathal Brugha Barracks.

I have also received notice from Senator Shane Cassells of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to reinstate the director of mental health post in the HSE.

I have also received notice from Senator Frances Black of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the changes implemented in HSE systems and procedures in light of the Grace case.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion and Cathaoirleach has selected Senators O’Reilly, O’Loughlin, Cassells and Black and they will be taken now. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters that they wish to raise.
