I have received notice from Senator Jennifer Murnane O'Connor that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to make a statement on the provision of special needs assistant resources in Ballinabranna national school, Carlow.

I have also received notice from Senator Frank Feighan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to provide an update on the provision of modern primary school facilities at Scoil Mhuire, Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim.

I have also received notice from Senator John O'Mahony of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Welfare to provide clarification on the entitlements of holders of free travel passes when they book a train seat in advance of travel.

I have also received notice from Senator Victor Boyhan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government to consider the establishment of a statutory independent inspectorate for emergency housing accommodation.

I have also received notice from Senator Rónán Mullen of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the in loco parentisrestriction that applies to the provision of home care packages for children with serious medical needs.

I have also received notice from Senator Michelle Mulherin of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport to make a statement on the national road infrastructure into north and east Mayo and prioritise the proposed N26-N58-N5 road scheme to provide for east-west and North-South connectivity.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Jennifer Murnane O'Connor, Frank Feighan, John O'Mahony and Victor Boyhan and they will be taken now. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
