I have received notice from Senator Catherine Noone that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to address the need for a new inpatient cystic fibrosis unit at Beaumont Hospital.

I have also received notice from Senator Jennifer Murnane O'Connor of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to outline his plans to allocate public funding for IVF treatment prior to the enactment of the Assisted Human Reproduction Bill 2017; and if those plans will include funding for the provision of fertility preservation in cases of cancer diagnosis.

I have also received notice from Senator Niall Ó Donnghaile of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to provide an update on the review carried out in July by the Irish Blood Transfusion Service into the ban on blood donations from people who were resident in the North and in Britain during the variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, vCJD, crisis.

I have also received notice from Senator Kevin Humphreys of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government to outline the reason for the delay in bringing forward legislation on short-term lettings.

I have also received notice from Senator Ivana Bacik of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to outline the reason children with Down's syndrome are currently excluded from the July provision scheme administered by his Department.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion. I have selected Senators Noone, Murnane O’Connor, Ó Donnghaile and Humphreys and they will be taken now. Senator Bacik may give notice on another day of the matter she wishes to raise.
