I have received notice from Senator Jennifer Murnane O'Connor that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice and Equality to review the cost of legal aid for family law and to consider the provision of free legal aid to those unable to meet these costs.

I have also received notice from Senator Aodhán Ó Ríordáin of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to discuss the ongoing need for investment in Beaumont Hospital emergency department and if his Department is actively considering the hospital's own estimated funding requirement.

I have also received notice from Senator Tim Lombard of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in light of the current crisis in the Irish grain industry, to engage with the European Commission to secure an aid package for the grain sector.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Murnane O'Connor and Ó Ríordáin and they will be taken now. Senator Lombard has withdrawn his Commencement matter which I had selected and he can give notice again on another day.
