I have also received notice from Senator Colm Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to clarify why a patient (details supplied) who has been in St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin, since January 2016 cannot be transferred to Bloomfield Hospital where the medical team have identified that this facility is the most appropriate place for his future health care needs.

I have also received notice from Senator Trevor Ó Clochartaigh of the following matter:

Go dtabharfaidh an tAire Coimirce Sóisialaí le fios cén laghdú atá déanta ar an méid a íocadh amach mar íocaíochtaí riachtanas eisceachtúil ó dúnadh na hoifigí leasa pobail i gConamara agus cad é an tsábháil airgid iomlán atá déanta ag an Roinn de bharr dhúnadh na n-oifigí céanna i gcomparáid le na trí bliana roimhe sin.

I have also received notice from Senator Gerard Craughwell of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice and Equality to explain the current delays in the Garda vetting programme resulting in many participants having to withdraw from community employment schemes for which they were otherwise eligible due to four to five-month delays in vetting.

I have also received notice from Senator Jennifer Murnane O’Connor of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice and Equality to review the cost of legal aid for family law and to consider the provision of free legal aid to those unable to meet these costs.

I have also received notice from Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine to give approval to increase the herring quota under the Celtic Sea herring management for the Dunmore box in order to compensate for the loss of herring quota in the fishery area in 2015.

I have also received notice from Senator Máire Devine of the following matter:

The need for the Minister of State with responsibility for communities and the national drugs strategy to inform the Seanad when the first supervised drug injecting facility will open in Dublin city and if more are planned in the capital or in other parts of the State.

I have also received notice from Senator Ged Nash of the following matter:

The need for the Minister of Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government to explain the reasons for the delays in the Drogheda boundary review process.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Gallagher, Kelleher, Burke, Ó Clochartaigh, Craughwell, Murnane O'Connor, Ó Domhnaill, Devine and Nash as suitable for discussion. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Gallagher, Kelleher, Burke and Ó Clochartaigh and they will be taken now.
