I move:

That the proposal that Seanad Éireann recommends, pursuant to section 65(1)(b) of the Garda Síochána Act 2005, that Judge Mary Ellen Ring be appointed by the President to be a member and to be chairperson of the Ombudsman Commission, be referred to the Joint Committee on Justice, Defence and Equality, in accordance with Standing Order 70A(3)(j), which, not later than 16th July, 2015, shall send a message to the Seanad in the manner prescribed in Standing Order 73, and Standing Order 75(2) shall accordingly apply."
