The need for the Minister for Health to clarify what is being done by his Department with regard to concerns about the lack of a prompt and efficient ambulance service in the Leenane area of Connemara.
The need for the Minister for Health to confirm that the Department of Health will work with the HSE to identify a suitable site for a new hospital in Cork which has been recommended in a report submitted by the south reconfiguration board of the HSE.I have also received notice from Senator Lorraine Higgins of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources to explore additional funding streams for the roll-out of natural gas in areas of strategic importance.I have also received notice from Senator Martin Conway of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation to comment on an application for an employment permit for a start-up company in County Clare, details supplied.I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Trevor Ó Clochartaigh and Colm Burke and they will be taken now. Senators Lorraine Higgins and Martin Conway have withdrawn the Commencement matters which I had selected for discussion.
