I have received notice from Senator Deirdre Clune that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government to clarify the level of funding to be made available to local authorities for housing refurbishment following the announcement in the Budget Statement 2014; and when this funding will be made available.
I have also received notice from Senator Lorraine Higgins of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Finance to introduce or grant a licence to a new bank, primarily focused on lending to the farming community.

I have also received notice from Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill of the following matter:

Ar iarraidh ar an tAire Gaeltachta a chinntiú gó mbeidh an deontas de €1.2 milliúin atá curtha ar fáil ag Forás na Gaeilge do “Nuachtán Seachtainiúil Gaeilge arlíne” oscailte do iarratasóirí a bheadh sastá leagan clótithe den nuachtán a chuir ar fáil do phobal na Gaeilge chomh maith.
I have also received notice from Senator David Cullinane of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Justice and Equality to outline his plans for High Court, District Court and Circuit Court hearings during the redevelopment and construction of the courthouse in Waterford; if he has considered relocating the court to any one of the ample facilities around the city where temporary courts could be held with no great expense; and if he will give an undertaking that there will be no loss of court hearings to the city of Waterford.
I have also received notice from Senator Trevor Ó Clochartaigh of the following matter:
Go dtabharfaidh an tAire Comhshaoil, Pobail agus Rialtas Áítiúil soiléiriú maidir le stádas tograí ón gClár Leader atá ag seasamh amach, go h-áirithe i gceantar na Gaillimhe, sa Ghaeltacht agus ar na hOileáin.
I have also received notice from Senator Fidelma Healy Eames of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to outline his plans for the provision of suitably-qualified teachers to implement a national roll-out of Chinese language and culture, Mandarin, as a short course from September 2014.
I have also received notice from Senator Mark Daly of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation to outline the steps he is taking to protect small retailers; and if he is aware that retail multiples are selling products at retail prices in their outlets at less than the cost that small shop owners are able to purchase the same product from wholesale.
I regard the matters raised by Senators Clune, Higgins, Ó Domhnaill and Cullinane as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Ó Clochartaigh, Healy Eames and Daly may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
