At the request of 20 Senators, pursuant to Standing Order 22(3)(a) of the Standing Orders of Seanad Éireann relative to public business and section 4(2)(b) of the European Communities Act 1972, as amended, I summoned Seanad Éireann to meet at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, 20 August 2013. The business to be considered at this sitting is confined to No. 1 on the Order Paper. I call the Leader to propose the arrangements in this regard.

The arrangements for today's business are as follows: the proposer shall not exceed ten minutes, all other Senators shall not exceed six minutes, the Minister shall be allowed 15 minutes to contribute and the proposer shall not exceed four minutes when called on to reply to the debate.
