On a point of clarification, will it be until 12.30 a.m.?

Yes, 12.30 a.m. The House must deal with emergency legislation being proposed by the Government.

On a point of order, I strongly oppose the forcing through of emergency legislation in the Dáil and Seanad. It is not good enough for the Cabinet-----

That creates a debate. Senator, please.

-----to have a short discussion on this emergency legislation and for Members of this House not to be given proper time. We are not agreeing-----

Is it agreed to suspend the House until 12.30 a.m.?

On a point of order, although it is highly irregular to have emergency legislation coming into the House, it is only fair that we hear what it is about. Therefore, we agree to the suspension of the House.

Question put: "That the sitting be suspended until 12.30 a.m."
