I welcome Members back to the House and wish everybody a happy new year.

I have received notice from Senator Denis O?Donovan that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to outline the reason for the delay in implementing the flood relief scheme and early warning system for Skibbereen, County Cork.
I have also received notice from Senator Lorraine Higgins of the following matter:
To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport to set out a policy through the National Roads Authority with regard to the adequate lining of all secondary and regional routes and the illumination of bus stops on all primary routes in the interests of safety.
I have also received notice from Senator Marc MacSharry of the following matter:
To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport to outline the reasons the Government is promoting a policy to ensure the survival and growth of one airport, Shannon Airport, at the expense of another, Ireland West Airpot Knock, which is to the detriment of the people and the potential of the north-west region.
I have also received notice from Senator Martin Conway of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Finance to introduce an excise rebate on diesel for passenger transport companies in the Finance Bill 2013.
I have also received notice from Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government to extend the deadline date for registration of septic tanks until the end of April 2013 and to immediately publish the national inspection plan in order that householders would know the criteria before the registration deadline.
I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Denis O?Donovan, Lorraine Higgins, Marc MacSharry and Martin Conway and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
