I have received notice from Senator Colm Burke that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to convene a meeting of all of the parties involved in the provision of elderly care, including officials from his Department, the Irish Nursing Homes Organisation, HIQA, the HSE, the National Treatment Purchase Fund, Age Action and companies involved in the provision of home care packages, to facilitate a longer term planning strategy to be developed for caring for the elderly.
I regard the matter raised by the Senator as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and it will be taken at the conclusion of business.
