I have received notice from Senator Denis O?Donovan that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

To ask the Minister for Health to make an urgent statement on the reduction of home help hours which are having a detrimental effect on our vulnerable elderly citizens who are so dependent on home help.
I have also received notice from Senator Deirdre Clune of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Health to provide details of his plans to tackle obesity in response to the report which found that this condition costs the State ยค1 billion per year.
I have also received notice from Senator Jillian van Turnhout of the following matter:
To ask the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs to confirm the number of protection referrals made by the Child and Family Services Unit in the Reception and Integration Agency to the Health Service Executive, HSE, about children in direct provision and whether the Health Information and Quality Authority, HIQA, national standards for the protection and welfare of children apply to children in direct provision, particularly where a referral has been made to the HSE in their regard.
I have also received notice from Senator Thomas Byrne of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government to address the inequities in the household charge due to varying levels of services between local authorities, within local authorities and between different types of housing estates depending on whether they have been taken in charge.
I have also received notice from Senator John Kelly of the following matter:
To ask the Minister for Health if an occupational therapist will be immediately appointed to the child adolescent mental health service in County Roscommon.
I have also received notice from Senator Colm Burke of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Health to convene a meeting of all of the parties involved in the provision of care to the elderly including officials from his Department, the Irish Nursing Homes Organisation, HIQA, the HSE, the National Treatment Purchase Fund, Age Action Ireland and companies involved in the provision of home care packages to facilitate a longer term planning strategy to be developed for caring for the elderly.
I regard the matters raised as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senators O?Donovan, Byrne, van Turnhout and Clune and they will be taken on the conclusion of business. Senators Kelly and Burke may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
