I have received notice from Senator Mary White that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Children to retain the 50 week option in the delivery of the early childhood care and education scheme.

I have also received notice from Senator Kathryn Reilly of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to discuss the use of the Geographical Information System in assessing the proposal to provide additional permanent accommodation at St. Mary's national school, Virginia, in County Cavan.

I have also received notice from Senator Mary Moran of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to consider adjusting school transport arrangements for a child with special needs (details supplied).

I have also received notice from Senator Colm Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government to outline how his Department proposes to deal with the serious flooding that was caused in Blackpool, Park Court, Ballyvolane and Meadow Brook, Riverstown, County Cork, and in particular if a special fund will be established to assist those who are not able to get insurance for flood damage.

I have also received notice from Senator Trevor Ó Clochartaigh of the following matter:

Go dtabharfaidh an tAire Talmhaíocht, Mara agus Bia eolas maidir leis na leibhéil eitinn atá ann - contae ar chontae - ar fud na tíre, míniú cén fáth an bhfuil na leibhéil eitinn chomh hard i gcontaetha an Chláir, Iarthar Chorcaí agus Cill Mhantáin thoir agus cé chomh gníomhach is atá cláir fiadhúlra na Roinne maidir le broic a bhfuil an ghalair eitinn orthu a thógáil as na ceantair seo.

I have also received notice from Senator Martin Conway of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform to confirm if contracts have been signed for phase two of the Ennis flood relief scheme and to advise on the proposed time frame both for commencement and completion.

I have also received notice from Senator Thomas Byrne of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to discuss the lack of any public transport service to anywhere from Stamullen, County Meath, the largest town in Ireland without any public transport.

I regard the matters raised by Senators White, Reilly, Moran, Burke, Ó Clochartaigh and Conway as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken on the conclusion of business. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.

I regret I have had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Byrne as the Minister has no responsibility in this matter. It is a matter for the National Transport Authority.
