I have received notice from Senator David Norris that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to ensure the continuance of the STEER programme and allied services at St. Dympna's Hospital, Carlow.

I have also received notice from Senator Darragh O'Brien of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport to support the people of Malahide by ensuring that Fry Model Railway is housed in Casino House, Malahide, thereby availing a donation of €1.5 million and ensuring that Bus Éireann does not needlessly waste €1 million in refurbishing the Eblana Theatre in Busáras for this project.

I have also received notice from Senator David Cullinane of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to clarify the reason capital funding for Gaelscoil Philip Barún, Tramore, County Waterford, was not provided under the five-year schools building plan announced last week; the criteria used to determine such a decision; and if he intends to review that decision or offer an appeals process.

I have also received notice from Senator Jillian van Turnhout of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice and Equality, in light of the launch of the Steering Group Report on a National Substance Misuse Strategy and the recommendation therein to commence section 9 of the Intoxicating Liquor Act 2008, relevant to the sale and display of alcohol in the off-trade sector, to clarify the manner in which section 9 is to be implemented given the two very different options available.

I have also received notice from Senator Martin Conway of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice and Equality to reassure the community of Miltown Malbay, County Clare, that the present Garda arrangements in the town will not be affected by any proposed changes in rostering.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Norris, O'Brien, Cullinane and van Turnhout and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Conway may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
