I have received notice from Senator Colm Burke that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine to outline the procedures that are currently in place to prevent counterfeit pesticides from being sold in the Irish market.

I have also received notice from Senator Averil Power of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance, given the success of the action taken by the IBRC to overturn a recent adjudication of bankruptcy in the United Kingdom, to discuss with NAMA the need to appeal the recent UK court decision declaring the bankruptcy of the Priory Hall developer, in order to thwart his attempt at bankruptcy tourism and discourage others from taking the same route.

I have also received notice from Senator Jim Walsh of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to make a statement on the forthcoming legislation to amend our outdated bankruptcy laws.

I have also received notice from Senator Trevor Ó Clochartaigh of the following matter:

Go dtabharfadh an t-Aire Sláinte soiléiriú maidir le todhchaí na seirbhísí poiblí fiaclóireachta, go háirithe do pháistí i gConamara agus Árainn.

I have also received notice from Senator Fidelma Healy Eames of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to review the position of small rural schools, the added concerns of Gaeltacht schools and rural DEIS schools and the special case of Scoil Mhuire, An Tuairín, Béal an Daingin, Conamara.

I have also received notice from Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government to clarify the position regarding MFG Teo., and when a new Leader funding administrator will be appointed for Gaeltacht areas.

I have also received notice from Senator Thomas Byrne of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to change his policy regarding ministerial school visits, and that he visit schools around the country which should be an essential part of his duties.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Burke, Power, Walsh and Ó Clochartaigh and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
