I have received notice from Senator Cecilia Keaveney that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs to consider having a passport service in Belfast and Cork as well as Dublin to ensure that when machines break down or offices are flooded, the devolved offices can still operate.
I have also received notice from Senator Paul Bradford of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources to clarify the position on the repair of the weir at Fermoy, County Cork; and the projected cost and funding arrangements for same.
I have also received notice from Senator John Paul Phelan of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation to outline the reason those on the live register who do not attract a welfare payment, often as a result of familial earnings or long-term short-time working, are also considered ineligible for community employment schemes.
I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
