I have received notice from Senator Michael McCarthy that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to outline the process whereby mussel fishing licences are granted; whether there are any plans to review this process, and if he is satisfied that the process is working adequately and meeting the needs of the mussel fishing industry.

I have also received notice from Senator Paschal Donohoe that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to re-examine the contribution made by his Department to local authorities, in particular Dublin City Council, in light of the suggested closure of council-run swimming pools such as the one on Sean McDermott Street, Dublin 1.

I have also received notice from Senator Pearse Doherty that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to intervene in the current dispute at Ionad Altranais in Gaoth Dobhair County Donegal, which is funded in part by the HSE, where staff have taken industrial action and to support the absorption in full into the HSE of this centre.

I have also received notice from Senator Jerry Buttimer that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism to make a statement on his plans for the future of the Kino cinema in Cork.

I have also received notice from Senator David Norris that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to intervene in a situation in which the pension rights of Aer Lingus workers are being seriously prejudiced by the legalistic manoeuvrings of management.

I regard the matters raised by Senators McCarthy, Donohoe, Doherty and Buttimer as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. I have selected the matters raised by Senators McCarthy, Donohoe and Doherty and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. I regret that I have had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Norris as the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter, which is one for Aer Lingus. Senator Buttimer may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
