I have received notice from Senator Pearse Doherty that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to ensure that the processing of medical card applications continues to be provided in Ballybofey, County Donegal.

I have also received notice from Senator Paul Coghlan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to resolve the stand-off between his Department and Killarney jarveys on the ongoing horse dung issue, which needs consultation and dialogue involving all the parties and the licensing authority.

I have also received notice from Senator Paudie Coffey of the following matter:

The need for the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to confirm if an application has been made for financial assistance from the EU globalisation fund to assist workers made redundant from Waterford Crystal and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I have also received notice from Senator Jerry Buttimer of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to comment on the plans he has for the Cork docklands and if he will comment on the deliberations and work of the Cork Docklands Development Forum.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Doherty, Coghlan and Coffey and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Buttimer may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
