I have notice from Senator Eugene Regan that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to provide in the Finance Bill 2009 for phased payment arrangements for overdue stamp duty in the case of individual taxpayers who face financial difficulties in the current economic climate.

I have also received notice from Senator Fidelma Healy Eames of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to outline the educational thinking and approach he recommends so that two teachers can effectively teach English to 154 foreign national children in Scoil Mhuire, Oranmore, County Galway, and if he will reverse his decision to withdraw two EAL teachers.

I have also received notice from Senator Cecilia Keaveney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to clarify the strategy in place to pre-empt the expected explosion in the numbers presenting with diabetes and to minimise that potential.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
