I move:

That Seanad Éireann, pursuant to section 4(2)(f)(v) of the Houses of the Oireachtas Commission Acts 2003 and 2006, hereby authorises the Houses of the Oireachtas Commission to instruct solicitor(s), Junior Counsel(s) and/or Senior Counsel(s) to conduct the defence of legal proceedings on behalf of Senator Cecilia Keaveney (and any other Senator who may be so joined to the said proceedings) in the matter of Daniel Doherty v. The Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform and others (Record No. 2007/9400P) arising out of the performance by the member concerned of her parliamentary functions as a member of Seanad Éireann.
